Rankings that keep pace with the AI era.
RankingLab is an independent research and technology lab. Our own multi-agent research engine reads the evidence on every candidate; doctoral-level experts decide every ranking, from education to practice.

Rankings built for the AI era.
The established rankings are rigorous, respected and long-standing. They were also designed before AI changed what people need to learn and how professions work. Our mission is to produce rankings that reflect quality as it is now: in learning, and in how learning becomes capability in the field.
- 01 Academic training
Academia
Degrees, programs and institutions, assessed on the depth and quality of what they teach. Quality in the field starts with quality in learning, so this is our core.
Academic rankings - 02 Professional training
Training and credentials
Certifications, executive education and AI training offered outside academia: the learning people do alongside, after or instead of a degree.
Practice rankings - 03 Application
Practice
The companies, agencies, products and providers that turn skills into real outputs, judged on what they deliver and on the people behind them.
Practice rankings - 04 Connections
Additional rankings
The labs, platforms, programs and communities that link learning and practice in the AI era.
Additional rankings
Every ranking. One standard.
Every list passes the same verification gate, the same research system and the same expert review. Each ranking applies its own framework, tuned to its field and level.

Our research engine. Human judgment.
We built our own research engine: a multi-agent system that orchestrates agentic search engines and frontier models purpose-trained for research, verifies every value against its source and reads the evidence on every candidate at a depth and pace no team could match. In parallel, doctoral-level researchers run their own research and cross-check the results. Every judgment that shapes a ranking is made by people. How the engine works
- 1
Verify
Human decisionRecognition, legal standing and reputation are checked against official registers and public records. Entities that fail are never ranked.
- 2
Gather
AI-assistedResearch agents and agentic search engines scan official sources, curricula, accreditation reports and public records for every candidate. Every value keeps its source and an exact quote.
- 3
Cross-check
AI-assistedA second engine checks each value independently; disagreements are settled from the source page itself. Evidence is mapped to rubric indicators. AI never assigns scores.
- 4
Review
Human decisionDoctoral-level researchers run their own academic research alongside the agents, cross-check the evidence and score each entry against the rubric.
- 5
Decide
Human decisionThe editorial panel assembles the final ranking from the evidence, the scores and its own expert judgment, then publishes it with uncertainty bands and an edition number.

What we measure.
Academic rankings score every program on the pillars below: the dimensions of quality that matter in the AI era, with the depth and quality of the curriculum at their center. Each ranking sets how much each pillar counts for its field and level, and professional rankings use a framework built for their field. How we rank
AI Integration
AI and data literacy across the core curriculum, responsible-AI teaching, access to current tools, and faculty capability.
Academic Depth
Rigor and research grounding, from open bibliometrics to supervised research and examined theses.
Field Connection
Live projects, practitioner faculty and partnerships that put learning in contact with real organizations.
Future Readiness
How quickly the curriculum renews itself, and how it treats sustainability, society and the future of work.
Learner Outcomes
Verified graduate outcomes, completion, support, access and value relative to cost.
Reputation & Standing
The standing of the institution and its school worldwide, international accreditation, and the strength of the alumni body.
External Reference
A small, capped signal from established sources, used only where their terms permit. Never reproduced.
Only recognized, reputable entities are ranked.
Degree mills, accreditation mills, unrecognized providers and entities of questionable standing never enter a RankingLab list, whatever they pay or promise. Recognition, legal standing and reported misconduct are checked before any evidence is gathered, and again at every edition.
Warning signs we screen for
- Degrees awarded in weeks, or for "life experience" alone
- Accreditation from bodies no government or recognized agency acknowledges
- A flat price per degree rather than tuition per course or credit
- No verifiable legal registration, faculty or academic governance
- Names that imitate well-known universities
Every rank has a margin.
Every score carries a band that shows how certain it is. When two bands overlap, the gap between those positions is not meaningful, so each entry also shows the range of ranks it could hold.
Most rankings print a single number. We would rather be precise about how precise we are.
Point estimateThe weighted score from reviewed evidence.
95% bandThe range supported by assessor agreement, stated confidence and evidence completeness.

Our commitments.
Written into policy and versioned.
No pay to play
We never accept money, gifts or services from anyone we rank, for inclusion, position or assessment. No ranking is funded by its subjects. Independence policy
AI disclosed, people accountable
We disclose how AI is used and for what. The editorial panel holds responsibility for every published result. Responsible AI policy
Methodology in the open
Our framework and indicators are published, and every change is logged. Methodology
Facts sourced, judgments ours
Every fact we publish carries its source. Every position is the independent judgment of our editorial panel, and corrections are logged in public. Methodology
Independent and not-for-profit
No investors, no advertising, no outside influence. To protect that independence, the identities of our team and assessors stay confidential. Funding policy
Supporting accreditation, not replacing it
A ranking is not accreditation. We screen out fraudulent credentials, and may share verification findings with competent authorities. For accreditors
